Mental health report results in $1.2 million in additional funding at UW

Student mental health has become a growing concern at post-secondary institutions across the country in the past few years. And many institutions are recognizing that mental heatlh services and initiatives cannot wait any longer. On March 12, University of Waterloo released a report that outlined 36 recommendations that will be implemented in the near future. Notably, UW has suggested an additional funding of $1.2 million for mental health services across its campus. The unviersity recognizes the demand and also its deficiencies at which their current services provide for students, and have placed this outline as one of their top priorities.
