Marcus Morris Shares How Celtics Helped Him Address, Improve Mental Health

The veteran big man, Marcus Morris, was contemplating quitting basketball altogether when he was traded to the Boston Celtics. As Morris detailed in a story with ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, Morris grew up amid gang violence in Philadelphia, to a rocky start in his NBA career, and got traded away from his twin brother, and by then he was struggling with anxiety and depression. And until the Celtics GM and Headcoach helped him discover a solution through professional help, he had been bottling up that feeling to himself. Now Morris confidently says that seeking help has helped him in so many ways and have made him become a more productive member of the NBA.
