Demand outstripping resources at mental-health clinics for veterans

The demand for mental health services has been outstripping the resources to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological trauma. As a result, reports warn that many veterans in cities such as Quebec City, Vancouver, and Edmonton have been forced to wait longer to see a mental-health specialist or psychiatrist. Additionally, this prolonged wait-time is seperate from the backlog of 29, 000 requests for disability benefits at Veterans Affairs Canada. This is an area where more governmental and organizational effort needs to be put.
