Don’t feel bad for needing to take mental health days
I'm someone who works myself up into a massive 'they're going to think I'm faking/they're going to fire me' panic whenever I need to call in sick.*
*Which I only do when I'm throwing up, fainting, or have to go to hospital, because I hate the idea of looking lazy and thus only take the day off in dire circumstances.
So naturally, the idea of calling up the office and saying 'hey, I can't come in today because I'm not in a good place mentally ' is absolutely bloody terrifying.
