Be Aware of the Other Point of View
Try to understand what is important to the other person and how he/she sees the situation.
- Try and put yourself in their shoes — you will gain valuable insights to how they think, see and feel about the world
- Saying, "I see where you're coming from" (if you actually do) leads to more effective communication
