Try a (new) Sport

Playing sports can be difficult, but the benefits are well known. Getting regular exercise can help relieve stress and improve mental wellness. It also helps improve self-esteem and may help you socialize with other people.

  • Keep an eye out for sports flyers at school or college
  • Hang out at the park or beach or sports-field
  • Join a pick-up game
  • If you’re nervous, try and join in with a friend or colleague
  • Don’t be afraid! Meeting new people can often be stressful – but after a few minutes you won’t even think about it
